Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have announced yesterday that they would extend the suspension of foreclosure sales and evictions from single-family properties involving mortgages they own or have securitized through January 31, 2009. Freddie Mac press release indicates that their announcement also applies to 2-4 unit properties with Freddie Mac-owned mortgages, and their suspension does not apply to vacant single family properties.
